Review of My Dad's Place Bar & Restaurant

During my recent visit to Simonton Lake Vacations Rental in Elkhart, Indiana  I was looking for a good place to eat. I decided to try My Dad’s Place Bar and Restaurant. I did like the name.  My dad is a good cook and everything we had was homemade so I had a good feeling about this before I went there. Let me say it did not disappoint.

 I liked that My Dad’s Place was good for the family but it did have a bar. At the end of the day, I want an adult beverage but do not want to go to a tavern where people will be acting crazy. There was a big drink menu and I had the choice between a beer and a mixed drink. This was nice because I am not always sure what I want until I get there. While it was a fun atmosphere the staff made sure no one was unruly and even when people were dining it was still a positive atmosphere.

While I do like to have a drink or two the main thing that I am looking at when I go out to eat is the quality of the food. I like that the menu had a wide variety. There were many different kinds of burgers which is always a good choice for some home cooked items such as meatloaf. I also liked that there were wings for an appetizer or well I am sure I could have made a meal out of them. This is the type of food that I would expect from this restaurant and I was not disappointed. Everything was cooked fresh to order which is nice. I did not have to worry about my food sitting around and it tasted good.  I also liked that there are daily specials. It is nice to save some money and try what the place has to offer.

I was a little worried at first that My Dad’s Place would not be clean. Nothing against dads but they are not always known for their cleanliness. While there was an at home feel everything was clean. The staff was very friendly and I was greeted when I arrived. The bartender was helpful and kept the drinks coming. I was glad that I was able to get food and drinks in the same place. I did not have to purchase my alcohol separately and I could get food at the bar which is always nice when having a drink.  This was top of the line bar food and I have nothing to complain about.
 
The next time that I am in the area iw ill be sure to stop at My Dad’s Place once again. I was here for two nights on my trip and I would love to come back. It was a relaxed atmosphere and the people here were great. This would be my neighborhood hangout place and there is plenty of room for everyone. I really enjoyed my time at this bar.
